How to use JADE ROLLER

The roll-on-jade is a treatment accessory, not a treatment in itself. It is therefore used in addition to your usual cosmetic treatments: it would improve penetration and therefore effectiveness, while the treatments in turn facilitate the sliding of the roller on the skin.

      • Use the jade roller after applying your day care in the morning, your night cream or your facial oil in the evening.
      • Use light pressure, without forcing, so as not to irritate the skin.
      • Ideally, take advantage of the application of the treatment to practice a light self-massage, smoothing the features from the inside out. Manual massage activates the same acupressure points as jade roller massage. It helps relax muscles and maximizes the smoothing effects of the roller.

How often ?

To optimize the supposed benefits, integrate the jade roller into your daily beauty routine. Use it morning and evening after your moisturizing or nourishing treatment. One to two minutes of use is enough: count between three and five passes of the roller on each area. In total, the massage performed with the roller takes between five and ten minutes.

In which way ?

Self-massage movements using a jade roller are always carried out from the inside out, so as not to wrinkle the features and to fight against gravity.

For the same reasons, do not make round trips, but one-way trips.

      • Start with the eye area. Use the smallest stone and run it under the eyes, from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner, then over the upper eyelids, under the eyebrows, from the inside to the outside.
      • Still with the small stone, draw the outline of the lips: the top of the upper lip then the underside of the lower lip, from the middle to the outer corners of the mouth.
      • Continue with the large stone. Massage from the bottom of the neck upwards towards the jaw to activate drainage.
      • Massage the jawline, starting from the center of the chin and following the contour of the face to the temples.
      • Massage the cheeks, starting from the sides of the nose towards the outside of the face, in the middle of the cheeks then on the cheekbones.
      • Massage the frown line, starting from the top of the nose and moving up towards the forehead.
      • Massage the forehead, starting from the middle of the forehead towards the hairline.
      • Finish by massaging the sides of the neck, from the lymph nodes towards the collarbones. This is the only exception requiring an up and down movement to promote the elimination of toxins.

How to clean your jade roller?

It is important to clean your jade roller thoroughly after each use to avoid the risk of infection. Start by wiping off any excess skincare product with a cloth or paper towel. Then clean it thoroughly with soap to eliminate any germs that may be present, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Avoid using water that is too hot or soaking the roller in water to avoid damaging it. Let dry flat on a paper towel.

How to store a jade roller?

In the evening, place your jade roller in the refrigerator. The freshness of the stone would be ideal for promoting a healthy glow and a luminous complexion in the morning: it would help to reduce bags under the eyes, and to revive blood circulation and lymphatic drainage.

However, keep it at room temperature during the day and in the evening, warm it between your hands: the heat of the stone helps to relax the features and relax the facial muscles tense during the day.
